No Stadiums, Thunder ZN's, GSL Vietnam balls, or balls without USSSA stamp
There will be balls available to purchase, Rashad has supply.
Tournament format:
The D teams are playing four pool play games and are seeded into a small single elimination. In the elimination round, the higher seed has choice for home team.
The C teams are playing three pool play games and then are playing each other in a Championship game. The higher seed will be home team. The tiebreaker is USSSA online system and the first tiebreaker is runs given up.
We are not using an equalizer because there is no need to, with the teams playing each other and then splitting apart for single elimination. No D team will be eliminated by a C team. Therefore, we are just playing the pool play games straight up.
GSL playing rules
Arc is 5 to 10 from ground
DHH plus 1 HR then inning ending out
Runner is anyone in lineup, 1 per inning
No extra pitcher runner
Double entry permitted (not double re-entry)
Time limit in pool play games. Umpire announces 65 minutes, you finish the inning you are in and play one more. We are simply trying to finish at a reasonable time.
Bats. You must have 240 stamped bats to play in this event. We will be doing some bat testing as we are able. Any bat can be tested at any time.
Roster. Online roster only. No guest players or pickups. I will lock the roster Friday night. Please ask everyone to do the waiver (out of Pending).
Prize. Each winning team will receive a small cash payout. There are only 5 teams, 2 winners, it is not going to be a great big number, but we will give back something.
